Castleton is located in
the western foothills of Vermont within the heart of the lakes region.
Lake Bomoseen is the largest lake exclusively within Vermont's borders.
Other bodies of water
including Lake St. Catherine, Beebe Pond, and Black Pond are all within
minutes of Castleton. All offer boating, fishing, and enjoyment
for all. |
Attractions such as
Killington and Pico mountain resorts, camping, hiking trails, golf
courses, and more are only a short drive away. Rutland, one of
Vermont's largest cities, is little more than 15 miles east.
If you like scenery,
the views of the Green Mountains of Vermont, and the Adirondacks of New
York cannot be beat!
Castleton is home to
Castleton State College, one of the institutions of higher learning
within the Vermont State College system.
